Co-ed Adult Kickball Tournament

Gather your friends and come re-live the social fun and competitiveness of the game that was a large part of everyone's childhood. Kickball is rapidly becoming the next true American pastime sport, according to the World Adult Kickball Association, is simply a blast and very easy to play. To celebrate the past and re-live the fun, the Batavia Parks Foundation is hosting Batavia 's first ever Co-ed Kickball Tournament for adults 16 years and older.

Proceeds from this double elimination tournament will benefit the SpaceNet Project aimed at placing a playground climbing tower in Engstrom Park. Prizes and a trophy will be awarded to the team that becomes victorious, but all players are sure to receive a weekend of fun and socializing playing a game they have always loved.

Team roster sheets and sign up registration forms can be accessed through the Park District.

Dates: Saturday, September 16th
Rain date: Sunday, September 17th
Times: Throughout the day on Saturday
Location: Batavia High School West Softball Fields
Fee: $150 per team (tax deductible)
Team: A minimum roster of 10 players


BatFest

Saturday, October 28

Free tractor pulled hayrides will be offered from 1:00 - 5:00 with a suggested food or cash donation to benefit the Batavia Interfaith Food Pantry. The Batavia Park District is offering free Halloween games and activity stations for children from 2:00 - 4:00 pm at the Batavia Riverwalk. There will be scrumptious treats and ghoulish prizes.

  • Welcome: Mayor Schielke & Ceremonial Tree Lighting

  • Santa's Warming House: Visit Santa at the Peg Bond Center warming house and receive a holiday stocking (children under 10 while supplies last)

6:30 - 7:30 p.m.

  • Story Hour hosted by the Batavia Public Library takes place at the Gustafson Research Center , located in the lower level of the Batavia Depot Museum

  • Holiday Gift Bags - stuffed full of festive surprises (while supplies last)
